FIU Global / COIL Instagram Campaign

Supported a summer Instagram campaign for FIU Global focused on increasing awareness of Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL) and study abroad opportunities. As Account Executive, I helped plan and present weekly content, refine campaign messaging, and support visual storytelling for student and faculty audiences.

Overview

Gabriel supported a summer Instagram campaign for FIU Global and COIL, helping promote global learning opportunities through structured content planning and stakeholder-facing presentations.

Challenge

Initial observations pointed to low awareness of COIL among FIU students, limited engagement before the summer campaign, and a need for more storytelling from student and faculty perspectives.

Strategy

The campaign focused on increasing visibility through Instagram, clarifying how COIL works, and positioning FIU Global study abroad opportunities as accessible and engaging. Ambassador-led storytelling was used to make the messaging feel more relatable and credible.

Execution

As Account Executive, Gabriel helped create and present two Instagram posts per week, participated in Zoom strategy meetings, collected feedback, refined messaging, and supported content around COIL Director Jeanette Smith and the Japan World Expo trip.

Results / Insights

The campaign gave FIU Global's Instagram more structure, brand alignment, and purpose while improving COIL awareness through visual storytelling. It also created a foundation for continued growth in global student engagement.
